Belgium first few days
Got here Friday night at around 11PM local time, flight was easy, quick and no hassle at the airport. Got searched by the security guard at Heathrow but I always find that kind of funny so that was OK.
Had a tuna and red pepper sandwich and leftover pasta bolognaise when I got here, and I’m sharing a lounge at the moment for a few days until more stuff gets sorted. Work starts tomorrow.. eek.
Ostende
Went to Ostende yesterday, nice beach. Reminded me of the sand of Weymouth and the seafront of Hastings, with the rails along the pavement and stuff. Fresh fish market where I had a strange array of different products, some real like prawns but some not which resembled expensive fish but was in fact like fake crabstick stuff. And I tried… I tried snails… I couldn’t help but think I was eating Mr. Snail all the time, it was a strange mixture tasting like bad squid, chewing gum and vinegary water. Oh and the slime kind of put me off a bit. Was an experience nonetheless!..
TV
We get BBC 1 and 2, also the Romanian satellite channels that we get are mainly English spoken re-runs of American 90’s shows, subtitled in Romanian. So TV is watchable.

Slowly getting rid of this bastard cough. Let’s eat. See you later.
