Work, Container, Fire, Fun
So been at work for just under two weeks now, and it’s fun. This week has been bloody hard work but getting along well with a nice team, nice office and new surroundings.

BBC have sent a freight container around the world - it’s a real, working freight container, carrying goods for various companies, in an effort to track globalization and the way freight works, using it’s onboard GPS. Story here, track the container here.
Fire in the Eurotunnel is something different to see on the TV isn’t it! Glad nobody got hurt, and it’s amazing that it still hasn’t been put out yet. I wonder how quickly they will resume service, considering it’s large commercial value.
This weekend, the voice networking team are going out on Saturday, so looking forward to that - and next Wednesday the guys from Reading VNG are coming over to join us for dinner, looking forward to that also! :)
So hope to have more pictures of the area up on the net at some point. Can’t wait for my tripod to arrive in a couple of weeks from home - it’s not very good so I might buy a better one sooner, so I can take some decent pictures of the fountains and arches and stuff.
